Child Exploitation Information, Help & Advice for Parents and Carers

 About Ivison Trust

Ivison Trust is a national charity supporting parents and carers whose children are being exploited. We work to keep children safe from exploitation by supporting their parents and carers, disrupting the exploiters, and working in partnership with police and family services.

www.ivisontrust.org.uk

Ivison Trust seeks to:

  • Enable parents and carers to safeguard their child from exploitation.
  • Provide evidence and specialist advice in order to demonstrate to partners that parents and carers have an essential safeguarding role.
  • Work with parents and partners to disrupt and bring exploiters to justice.
  • Influence national and local policy and practice to reflect the active safeguarding role of parents and the impact on families of child exploitation.
  • Sustain long term change by training partners in the active role of parents and carers safeguarding their children.

Attendance

PUPIL ABSENCE There are several ways to contact the school should your child be absent. School telephone: 01744 808040 Ring or Text Attendance Officer mobile: 07561 233329 Email: susanmurphy@mphtraining.org.uk

Our School aims to meet its obligations with regards to school attendance.

We will also support parents to perform their legal duty to ensure their children of compulsory school age attend regularly, and will promote and support punctuality in attending school and lessons.

Our School is a place of learning and is expected to meet the short-term needs of students experiencing serious social, emotional and mental health difficulties.

Attendance matters to everyone. Non-attendance affects not only the individual child and their family but it has a significant effect on educational progress, and the wider community. Regular attendance matters to employers because it influences young people’s expectations of work.

Irregular attendance leads to poorer personal, social and life skills and has been shown to be linked to a lower likelihood of obtaining a job and of remaining in long-term employment.
